Well fortunately (for me anyway) I did not get hit by a bus, but I still managed to be almost a week late getting this posted. Lame I know.

Lucky for you, this podcast is a double-decker special edition of rambling zaniness as it managed to balloon into a nearly 2 hour long podcast. So I guess the old saying “beware what you wish for” has been proven to be quite accurate in this case, since you get to put up with us for even longer this time.

The first half of the podcast deals with us discussing the celebrity deaths from the first half of the year, as we reminisce about the likes of Charlton Heston and George Carlin. Then we improbably manage to wander into a discussion of Julia Roberts movies on our way to dissecting the latest “best of” lists from the AFI and Entertainment Weekly. Needless to say there is a lot of rambling mingled throughout, but if you’ve listened to us for this long then you should expect nothing less.

The second half is where it gets interesting as for some reason we wandered off into political land. If you have no interest in hearing our opinions on abortion, gay marriage, smoking bans, patriotism and all manner of other supposedly taboo subjects then listen no further than about the 55 minute mark. If you want to hear a couple of guys from Wisconsin espouse their views on some of the more heated subjects in the news these days then continue on.

Hopefully, when all is said and done, we will still have some listeners left. As always… Enjoy the show!

Good political rant! You know what I hate about two-party politics? The fact that both sides have agendas, and neither side wants to admit it. On the right side, you have the religious, fear-mongering, anti-science idiots, like our own president, who want to fight gay rights, destroy our nation’s science curriculum (more than it already has been!), and sign law after law that panders to the church. But then on the left, you have people who think they’re going to clean up America by BANNING everything! Cigarettes, violent video games, and guns.

And the gun thing really pisses me off, because the argument is that we can’t trust people to not kill each other. The seem to think that the only ones who should have the guns are the cops. Are the cops not also people?! Are they not susceptible to the same vices as the rest of us?

And since when does banning anything actually stop distribution? All it does is create a black market. Just like alcohol. Just like drugs. All prohibition does is to take business away from otherwise law-abiding business owners and put it squarely in the hands of criminals!

But you can’t get through to people! As dangerous as guns and drugs are, I’d much rather people be able to buy these things in public areas where they’re at least reasonably safe, as opposed to having to buy them from some maniac on the street.

The Democrat party would be okay in my book if they’d just get rid of the fascism.

yes… this is the same hossrex from the Ben Heck comments… I’ve been starved for podcasts (because I hate podcasts, but I got in the habit of listening to Ben’s), so I started listening to yours…

I’m starting the final (12th) podcast… and thats it?

    Come on!

I hope you don’t think no one was listening. Dale is great, and Jones is… JONES! Everyone loves Jones! He’s that buddy you hang out with on friday night, and talk about shit with! I relate more to Ben, and Dale… but Jones is that friend that I’ve had since 9th grade… even if that guy has been five different people.

    MORE PODCAST!

    JONES! YOU ROCK!

(for the record, my Jones is currently an awesome guy named Razo. Its bizarre how similar you guys are. He even says “good times”. Seriously)
